Accounts Payable Specialist, Part-Time

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is perfect for someone with high attention to detail, team-first mindset, and looking for work-life balance. The position will report directly to the Controller and will be a key contributor to the overall finance and accounting operations supporting Séura's mission of delivering exceptional design and technology solutions.

This is a part-time position (15–20 hours per week) and is temporary through May 2026, with the potential to continue based on future staffing needs. This position will work on-site 100% of the worktime. Flexible schedule allowed between the office hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

· Process and verify vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper approvals and coding.

· Manage vendor accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.

· Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain up-to-date financial records.

· Assist in month-end closing and reporting activities related to accounts payable.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

· Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.

· Support internal audits and provide documentation as needed.

· Record and manage daily cash transactions related to outgoing payments (ACH, checks, wire transfers).

· File sales tax and e-waste reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis—keeping us compliant and ahead of deadlines.

· Collaborate with other finance team members to improve processes and support overall department goals.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s degree in accounting or business-related field or a minimum of five years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related position, required.

 

ADITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERPs – NetSuite is a plus.

· Excellent organization and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
