June 06th, 2008

GREEN BAY, Wis., — In June, SÉURA was honored by its hometown business community with the 2008 Entrepreneurial Award from the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. The award is bestowed annually on a regional company that demonstrates a creative business approach, proven success and positive impact on the local community.

“You know you’re really onto something when your products are featured as one of Oprah’s 2008 Hot Home Trends,” said Chamber President, Paul Jadin. “SÉURA is a true testament to the technical ingenuity and precision manufacturing capabilities in our region. We are proud to recognize them and support their ongoing expansion in our community.”

Founded in 2003 by Gretchen and Tim Gilbertson, the company has twice moved to larger facilities to accommodate business growth and is on the verge of moving again.

“We’re pleased to be an innovator in Wisconsin, and we’re proud to manufacture our products in the U.S.A.” said SÉURA president Tim Gilberston. “We take pride in our heritage and hope that we will create a continuing economic impact in our community, state, country and world.”

SÉURA purchases the majority of its goods and services from U.S. vendors. In addition to its impact on the regional economy, The SÉURA staff individually volunteers in a wide assortment of community organizations including youth sports, coaching, donating blood and actively sharing their time and talents at various area churches and schools.
